To get rid of outdated consumer perceptions, merely presenting China Eastern Airlines new fleet of Boeing 777-300ER planes wasn’t enough. So, to show them off and inform travelers of CEA’s improved service and state-of-the-art equipment, we recreated the experience of nonstop flights from JFK and LA to Shanghai.
East Meets West were two, high-profile, private evenings of fusion, food, and fun at NYC’s prestigious IAC building and at the W in West Hollywood.
A diverse mix of business executives, politicians, local and Chinese press, and travel industry experts were treated to a first-class experience featuring a choreographed dance troupe, live musical performance, and virtual first and business class cabin tours using Oculus Rift.
To support and promote the campaign we created the North American Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook accounts for CEA where we posted an intense three-week campaign using #FLYCEA.
